The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed defenceman Jake Gardiner to a five-year, $20.25-million US contract extension, according to several media reports.
Gardiner will make an annual salary of?$4.05 million.
Gardiner's?extension doesn't include any no-movement protection, according to Sportsnet.ca.
In 80 games with the Leafs last season, the 24-year-old defenceman scored 10 goals and added 11 assists.
